Oh, cleansing oils! Where were you in my youth! My teenage years would've been transformed if I'd've discovered these earlier!
But, I'm glad I've finally found them and been converted.
Usually I'd use the L'Oreal Cleansing Oil, but despite seeing it on offer in Boots the other day, I decided to try a different version. The Super Facialist range is a little more expensive, but still affordable and there's a bit more product in this this than the L'Oreal - so you get your moneys worth (although since purchasing this, the two products are now the same price with offers on each).
This Skin Renew Cleansing Oil claims to be the first step in a cleansing routine and should be followed with a facial cleanser, but I don't. I'm not that high maintenance. And I find that this does the job more efficiently than a foaming cleanser anyway.
I love the packaging - it's easy to open, to sprinkle a few drops into my palm without going OTT and easy to mush about on my face without having to go back for a bit extra half way through the mushing (something I found I'd have to do with the L'Oreal version).
It smells very citrus-sy. A fresh, clean, almost kitchen cleanser type clean. It says it has olive, grapeseed, cucumber and rosehip oils in it as well as extra vitamins for softer, cleaner skin.
The combination is great. I can't fault it. All of my makeup comes off in about 5 seconds, it smells good, my face hasn't broken out and I've not even used all that much out of the bottle yet despite being my sole cleanser for over two weeks!
Have you ever tried this? Which is your favourite facial oil?
