BAKE: White Chocolate Chip Cookies


You fancy something sweet, but have nothing in? Well, if you're a pro home economist, you should have the simple combination of ingredients to sort yourself out with some of these badboys.


250g white chocolate
150g butter
250g caster sugar
250g plain flour
1 egg
pinch of salt

Cream the sugar and butter together, then add in the egg. Sift the flour and salt in and as it gets thicker, throw in a roughly chopped up bar of chocolate (or two). Spoon the dough out onto greaseproof papered trays and bake for about ten minutes or until golden brown at about 180C.

It really is as easy as that. 

To make them more of a taste sensation - as if the chunks of gooey chocolate aren't enough - you can always add a teaspoon of whatever essence you fancy, be it vanilla or something more fancy. The world is your oyster - or cookie!
