REVIEW: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

I've been promising myself a high end foundation for a long time now.

Well, I've actually been promising myself a whole new high end makeup kit for years, but life just happens and suddenly we're thirty pay days later and still no higher end quality to spread over my face.

Over the coming months we have a LOT of events to attend where I'll be most probably photographed. So the need for a base that won't make me look ghostly is definately just that: a need.

REVIEW: Maybelline Vivid Matte liquid Lip

Oh to be a woman who can pull off a lipgloss! Alas, it's not to be.

Although, this time it was a close one. The fact this Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid has a matte finish means it appears more velvetty on the lips rather than sticky. And despite some appearances being deceiving, this isn't. It's actually very nice to wear.

So far so good?

WEAR: Red Breton

I hoped that these photos might work out for me, but on a 27" screen they have terrible quality - soz. But for a couple of snaps on the ol' iphone in between checking out fishing tackle prices, I don't think we did too badly.

REVIEW: Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara

If I was only allowed three makeup items, mascara would be one of them. A brow pencil and tinted moisturiser would be the others - but mascara would definately have to be included.

Now, this Revlon Mascara claims to be Ultra Volume, but I disagree. Although there's some volume where the lashes are visibly thicker, there's definately not any ultra volume. This is not the most volumising mascara I have used.

And I've used a fair few.

Hello August, hello everyone

Hi August. Hi to everyone that's waited a month for me to get my arse back into gear and focus some of my time to this little space on the interwebs.

I'd not realised it'd been this long. I apologise for that. I should have prepared more posts, I should have planned ahead, but life just took over.

The move is dragging on and our home has created some cabin fever type tension - both of us are scratching our eyes out for boredom and a lack of things to do.

Which is weird, because this should be the perfect situation for dedicating time to writing here.

Except, when you're not feelin' it, you're not feelin' it. And I haven't. For a month.

Back now though, ready for August. Ready for Autumn. Ready for new projects. Ready for everything.

Find me here too!

REVIEW: Rimmel Sculpting Palette

I'm totally into face palettes. I mean: why not? It's a multiple whammy really. A highlighter, a bronzer/contour and a blush? And if you're travelling this summer it means you have shades that work together, in a easy to pack container. Total win. I'm all over that.
